So con season has more or less dried up for 2018. I have one con left in October, one in December, and maybe one in November (plus potentially one more). This gives me lots of free time, and during a lot of that free time I’ve been doing some gaming and broadcasting it on Twitch.
And it’s become apparent that some of you really don’t like that I’m doing that.
Here’s the thing. I know many of you only care about my game show content, and I get that. Unfortunately, there’s not going to be a large amount of that live at conventions for the rest of the year, and since that also means I’m not making much in the way of convention income, I have to spend a lot more time working on things that pay the bills, and video games are how I take a break. I thought that with a Twitch channel I could interact with some of you while taking a break. I’m not abandoning the game show side of things, I just don’t have a lot of new content there at the moment. (You of course can help out on that aspect by contributing to the fall Indiegogo.)
Today I have decided to separate my video gaming content from my Greggo’s Game Shows social media, so that those of you who don’t want it don’t have to see it, and those of you who DO want it can get it streamlined straight into your feeds. Here are the addresses for Greggo’s Gaming Channel: Youtube Twitch Twitter Facebook
I have also created a Discord channel, which I’ll be utilizing for live game shows, which is something else I can do on Twitch, and that I’ll be starting later this year. At the moment the games I do there will be played for fun, as I’ve got to research the legal ramifications of offering prizes on this sort of game show. You can find it here. I’m planning on doing a Jackbox stream tomorrow night and will likely be using the Discord alongside, so if you’d like to take part in that or future game show stuff, feel free to join.
I understand that many of you follow me because you are hardcore game show fans, and I hope you’ll continue to enjoy that content as it comes out (and it will still be coming out, I assure you). I just hope that those of you who are only interested in that won’t continue to express your discontent at anything that isn’t to your tastes. Keeping the two separated will hopefully mean that if you don’t want it, you won’t see it.
Thanks as always for your support.
